Case Management
Case Managers are here to provide information; consultations and
referrals to the community resources that will best help people
living with HIV/ AIDS. HARC also provides Early Intervention Case
Managers for those clients who are dealing with substance abuse
issues in addition to living with HIV/ AIDS. Case Managers are
available Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm. Case Management services
are immediately available upon completion of an intake interview.
During this interview an assessment of the persons total life
situation is profiled in order to determine the areas of need in
which they may need assistance. The areas of need agreed upon by the
client and case manager are addressed by referral to appropriate
agencies/ services systems, including HARC's trained volunteers and
contracted providers.

Support Groups
HARC's support groups provide a safe place for participants to
deal with the psychological impact of living with HIV/AIDS. In the
supportive climate for a group, people can openly talk about the
burdens of carrying the stigma associated with HIV and address their
fears of facing an uncertain future.
If you are interested in attending any of these groups, contact
Pat Love, Director of Client Services for a referral to any support
group or for more information. If you already have a case manager at
HARC, please contact them for a referral to the support group that
interests you. If you have a suggestion for a group you would like
to see, please talk with the Director of Client Services. Expect to
be involved in the creation and facilitation of any group you may
suggest.
